Three quarters of life on Earth have disappeared, leaving only two survivors: a gorilla and its child. He protects it by splashing water, which naturally evokes life: it carries, nurtures, fertilizes, and sustains. Water circulates and flows in all things: it reminds us of cycles. Water flows downward, but when exposed to the heat of the sun, it transforms into vapor and ascends into the sky. These cycles allow us to witness the metamorphosis of other species, consumed by microbes and turning into something else.
